The President of the Association of Persons with Cerebral Palsy and Other Disabilities – Veles held a working meeting with Mr. Gjoko Velkovski, Minister of Social Policy, Demography and Youth.

The meeting focused on the work of the Association and the current challenges in the provision of social services, with particular emphasis on their availability, quality and continuity. The discussion also addressed the need for further improvement and development of community-based services, including Personal Assistance, Assistance and Care at Home, and Supported Living, with the aim of enabling persons with disabilities to organize their lives according to their own needs, choices and preferences.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth for its continued support and openness to cooperation, as well as for the honour and opportunity to engage in direct dialogue on issues of importance to persons with disabilities and community-based services.
