Successfully Held Information Session on the Draft Law on Employment and Vocational Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities
On 25 September 2026, at Hotel International in Veles, we successfully held an Information Session dedicated to the Draft Law on Employment and Vocational Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, within the framework of the project “Stronger Together 2”, with the support of the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation.
During the session, speakers Suzana Trajkovska Kochankovska from Sizigija Foundation – Skopje and Suzana Poposka from the Public Institution Rehabilitation Center for Children and Youth – Skopje presented the key aspects of the draft legislation, with a particular focus on the methodology of the law, proposed mechanisms, opportunities for employment and vocational rehabilitation, as well as the rights and support available to persons with disabilities.
The participation and active engagement of representatives of associations and civil society organizations from the Vardar Planning Region, persons with disabilities and parents/guardians, representatives of institutions, the business sector, and other relevant stakeholders was of particular importance.
The session provided an opportunity for open discussion, exchange of experiences and information, raising practical questions, and sharing challenges faced by persons with disabilities in accessing the labour market.
