DAY ONE OF THE STUDY VISIT – KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND EXCHANGE

Today in Veles, we officially began the Study Visit and Regional Exchange within the project “Persons with Disabilities Growing Organic Medicinal Herbs”, with around 50 participants from North Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. 🇲🇰🇷🇸🇧🇦
🌿 The first part of the day was dedicated to introducing and getting to know the participants, followed by a video presentation showcasing the beginnings of the Association and its experience in growing aromatic and organic herbs.
Daliborka Zlateva spoke about the development of this initiative, the Association’s experiences and its work to date. She also led the session dedicated to organic agriculture and the principles of sustainable production of medicinal and aromatic herbs.
🌱 In continuation, expert Lidija Karastojanova Andova presented and explained the main characteristics of medicinal and aromatic herbs – lavender, sage, basil, calendula and rosemary, with a particular focus on their cultivation, production and the principles of organic production.
💬 The sessions were accompanied by open and engaging discussions, questions, exchange of experiences and examples among participants from the three countries.
We are especially pleased that we concluded the first day with a successfully completed agenda, new knowledge and even greater motivation for joint work. 🤝🌍
🙏 Special thanks to the Western Balkans Fund and the European Union for their support and for the opportunity to connect knowledge, experience and people from North Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina through this project.
