💙 29 YEARS TOGETHER 💙

A story created by people who believed that persons with disabilities deserve more……more opportunities, more support, more respect and, above all, the right to live with dignity.

29 years filled with many steps forward, but also with challenges. With days when things were difficult, with moments when we wondered whether we could keep going, but also with countless reasons to continue.

There have been tears of pain and injustice, but also tears of happiness.

There has been laughter, friendship, celebrations, dinners, songs and beautiful memories that we carry with us today. 🥂✨

There have been people who came, people who stayed, people who left their mark, and people because of whom this story continues.

Throughout all these years, our struggle has never been only about services and support. It has been a struggle for equality, accessibility, independent living, education, employment, participation in the community, and the right of every person to be heard and respected.

And perhaps most importantly….we have learned that change does not happen overnight. It is created step by step, person by person, voice by voice.

Today, as we mark 29 years since the establishment of the Association of Persons with Cerebral Palsy and Other Disabilities – Veles, we look back at all the people, families, employees, partners, volunteers and friends who have been part of this journey. We look at all the small victories that once seemed unreachable, and we look ahead to many more years in which we will continue to speak up, advocate, support and create opportunities.

And that is why today we are not celebrating just an anniversary.

We are celebrating a community that never gave up.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story.
